Delhi Courts and CRPF Schools Evacuated After Bomb Threat Email; Security Checks Underway

Delhi witnessed a tense morning on Tuesday after multiple court complexes and two schools received a bomb threat email, triggering widespread evacuations and emergency security checks across the city. The incident comes just days after the Red Fort blast, putting the capital on high alert once again.

Bomb Threat Email Triggers Citywide Panic

According to Delhi Police, an email claiming that bombs were planted inside Patiala House Court, Saket District Court, Rohini Court, Tis Hazari Court, and two CRPF schools—one in Dwarka and another in Prashant Vihar—was received around 9 a.m.

The email, sent from the address jaish-e-mohammad@gmx.com, contained alarming statements referencing “Allah’s Court” and ordered “bomb destruction” of Delhi’s court complexes. Police immediately moved to verify the source of the email while beginning evacuations.

Security Forces Rush to the Scene

As soon as the alert was raised, Delhi Police teams, along with Bomb Detection and Disposal Squads (BDDS), dog squads, and Crime Branch units, were deployed to all six locations. All court premises and school buildings were thoroughly checked.

A senior officer confirmed that no explosive or suspicious item has been found so far, but the search continues until every area is cleared.

Courts Temporarily Suspend Proceedings

With hundreds of people already inside the buildings at the time of the threat, authorities quickly evacuated staff, lawyers, litigants, and visitors.

Saket Bar Association secretary, Advocate Anil Basoya, said that legal proceedings were suspended for at least two hours as a precaution.

CRPF Schools Also Evacuated

Both CRPF schools in Dwarka and Prashant Vihar activated emergency safety protocols, moving students and staff to designated safe zones. Parents were informed and asked to avoid panic as security agencies took charge of the situation.

Context: Threat Comes After Red Fort Blast

The timing of the threat has raised concerns among security agencies as it comes just days after the November 10 Red Fort blast, which killed 11 people and injured several others. The government has already declared the incident a terror attack, and central agencies are probing links to a wider terror network.

Because of the recent blast, agencies are handling every threat with maximum caution.

Police Investigating the Email Source

Cyber experts are now analysing the email trail to trace the sender. Preliminary reports indicate the email could have been routed through foreign servers, making tracking more complex. Police have not officially called it a hoax yet.

More updates are awaited as the investigation progresses.
